Wuffle
A little companion for big adventures
Wuffles are little brown-and-cream companion creatures with enormous eyes, floppy ears and a compact, round shape.
Small enough to turn up in the middle of an adventure, a Wuffle has a simple, unmistakable silhouette. No particular family member has been assigned one.

A few things about Wuffles
Joining in
A Wuffle may turn up just as someone sets off down a path. It is equally likely to arrive after everyone has been calling for it.
Floppy ears
One lifts at an unfamiliar sound; both swing forward when there is something worth investigating.
A tiny whuff
You might hear it when a Wuffle spots a familiar face—or a very interesting leaf.
Little bounds
The way down a hill often looks more exciting than the way up, especially when their ears get there first.
Fond of ribbons
A Wuffle may sit beside one it likes until somebody notices. Whether it wants to wear it or play with it is less clear.
What walkers miss
A pebble beneath a fern or a rustle beyond a gate can change the course of an ordinary walk.
Familiar company
A Wuffle might choose to walk beside the same person again. That does not mean anyone can tell it where to go next.
Watching and waiting
Sometimes a Wuffle sits quietly for no reason people can understand. Perhaps it is waiting for a beetle to emerge from a wall.
Wuffle-walking
Their steps have a gentle bounce. Collyvale children enjoy trying to imitate it.
Unmistakable
The little rounded body, floppy ears and busy tail give a Wuffle away—even when it is heading somewhere it should not.
